The end is near. Working on wrapping up Country Fangs as I eat my breakfast and sip on some chai tea this morning. Double checking formatting and submission requirements for editor. While Sunflowers are Yellow was my first time working with a professional, this is my first full novel getting the professional treatment. Needless to say I am a little nervous, but also fairly excited. Last update I put forth the idea of doing a Discord for y works. Seriously considering it still, however as a group for Beta Readers to get feedback a little more steadily. Still aiming for a release date of Halloween 2022.
Synopsis: Country Fangs follows the story of a vampire artist who just wants to live out his life as normal as he possibly can. John never wanted much out of life, but now, with the arrival of strangers to his town, trouble brews and he is forced to step up to defend that which he holds dear.
Where I’m at: Wrapping up the story on Halloween night. Kids will still be kids, no matter the age, and Halloween really is a time for the town to come together. Ending on a high note while setting up for book 2.
Formatting and Counts: Formatted for 6x9inch Pages: 268 Words: 66,679
BONUS ROUND Already have the start to an anthology submission I’m calling “A Dragons’ Heart” which follows one of the leaders of the Bisnian Dragon Riders just before and during the course of events in Stan Bubbles, Evil Overlord. After the skirmish between the countries, the Capitan must make a decision: to remain a Capitan of the Dragon Riders, or to retire and turn his back to the coming world war?
