Greetings! New here so this might take a moment to get everything settle, but allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kim Adkins, though I often go by VampyricArts online for those that want to find me “in the wild” so to speak. I’m a farm girl transplant to SE Wisconsin. As such I’m often messing with chickens or in the garden if I’m not playing with my toddler or dog, or spending time writing or painting.
The main three series I’m working on are Nungai, Bubbles, and Fangs; hence the title of my blog site!
Nungai is the series that really started me along the path to writing. It’s the first books that I self published and have so far pulled down to re-work and re-publish through Dimension Seal Studios. It’s set in a science fantasy realm where magic and technology are ruled over by demi-gods known as the Elder Dragons. The series as a whole is written in the PoV of the Elder Dragon Time as she sits at the end of the Universe recounting the history, one tale at a time. This set up will promote a sort of Forgotten Realms feel to the series, allowing for other authors and artists to contribute to the universe as a whole alongside RPGs and other unique works.
Bubbles is primarily the Stan Bubbles trilogy, though will also include various short stories and might span off to other characters within the realm. It’s a modern fantasy universe that’s more like our day to day life than flying around in spaceships. Stan Bubbles, Evil Overlord M.D. is my first book being published through DSS, though is currently in Amazon Limbo and his short story, Sunflowers are Yellow, is set to be released May 14th within the Hope for Ukraine anthology.
Fangs refers to my vampire trilogy, starting with Country Fangs. As of yet I’m simply calling it the Trilogy of Fangs as it follows a french vampire who made a home in a little town called Normal in Arkansas as threats begin to come in and all the vampires in the world face extinction. Jean/John has to step up if his kind are to continue living in the world.
